HP LaserJet M1005 Multifunction Printers - Printer does not turn on and the control panel is blank

Issue

The HP LaserJet M1005 multifunction printer will not turn on, and the control panel is blank. A possible cause is a power supply failure.

Solution

Step one: Turn the printer off and on

Turn off the power by using the power switch, and then wait at least 30 seconds.

Step two: Use another power cord

1. Replace the power cord with another cord.
2. Turn off the power by using the power switch, and then wait at least 30 seconds.

Step three: Plug the power cord into a wall socket

If a surge protector is being used, remove it. Plug the printer’s power cord directly into the wall socket.
